Terms of Service

Welcome

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of League Advantage — the website at leagueadvantage.com, the iOS mobile app, and any associated services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

League Advantage is operated by Chris Alves, an individual sole proprietor based in the United States. Contact: hello@leagueadvantage.com.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including any content you post in your league's message board, trades you propose, waiver claims you submit, and commissioner actions you take if you hold that role.
• If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account, please notify us at hello@leagueadvantage.com right away.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• Break the law or facilitate breaking the law
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users (including your league mates)
• Post content that's defamatory, infringing, obscene, or otherwise harmful in the message board, team names, or anywhere else
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, leagues, or the underlying systems
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute large portions of the Service or its data outside your own league
• Interfere with the operation of the Service (load attacks, abuse of the API, probe-and-exploit behavior)
• Operate gambling pools or paid contests through the league without complying with the laws of all participants' jurisdictions

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For serious violations we may do so without notice.

Your content

You own the content you create in League Advantage — team names, message board posts, league settings, custom rules, scoring overrides, and anything else you input. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service for you and your league.

You're responsible for any content you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

League data

Historical league data (past seasons, archived rosters, trade history, champions) is part of what makes the product useful. We keep it indefinitely as long as your league exists. If a league is deleted, its historical data is also deleted within 30 days.

Commissioner role

Commissioners have elevated permissions: they can edit league settings, override scoring, process commish adjustments, send broadcasts, pin board posts, manage members, and run the draft. With those powers comes responsibility for using them fairly within your league. League Advantage is not the arbiter of your league's internal disputes.

Fees

The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we'll give you clear notice and never charge you for anything without your explicit consent. We don't offer in-app purchases on iOS — any future paid features will be billed through the website only.

Third-party data

NFL player statistics, news, and Next Gen Stats are sourced from third-party providers (ESPN, nflverse, Rotowire RSS). We surface this information for your league's use but make no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Live in-game scoring depends on the upstream feeds being reliable.

No affiliation with the NFL

League Advantage is an independent fantasy football tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, any NFL team, or any official fantasy football platform (Sleeper, CBS Sports, ESPN, Yahoo, MyFantasyLeague). Player names and statistics are used for descriptive informational purposes only.

Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Live scoring depends on upstream NFL data feeds; the website and mobile app depend on Supabase, Vercel, and Expo infrastructure. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, and unforeseen issues can cause downtime.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LEAGUE ADVANTAGE OR ITS OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless League Advantage and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or to comply with the law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, send you an email notice. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Apple App Store

If you obtained the mobile app through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and League Advantage only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your license to use the app is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Direct any support inquiries to hello@leagueadvantage.com.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price (note: the app is free). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.
